After the murder of
Cotys III (XI) and the excile of his uncle Rhaeskuporis II (IV) the
thracian kingdom was partitioned among Cotys IV (XII)
and Rhoemetalkes II sons of Cotys III
(XI) and Rhoemetalkes III son of Cotys
II (X). The
guardianschip over the two minors was given to the roman general
Trebelleus Rufus. No coins in the name of Cotys III (XI) are known. |
