The reign of Lysimachos and the celtic invasion led to a decline of the
kingdom of Seuthes III. His succession is not clear. His son
Reboulas and brother of Kotys II is honored in an Athenian decree from
331/330 BC. From a stele from Seuthopolis it is known
that Seuthes's wife, Berenike, and her four sons (including
neither Kotys nor Reboulas) made a treaty with the
Thracian princes, Spartokos of Kabyle and Epimenes. It
is not certain that Kotys II ever reigned the Odrysian Kingdom. [Mladjov, www; Peter, 1997, p.173/174]
