Bergaeus
is only known from his coins. He was a contemporary and neighbour of
Saratocus. A lesser thraco-macedonian dynast, he probably ruled in the
region of mount Pangaion. From the similarity of some coins with
thasian iconography it is sometimes believed that Thasos was also part
of his territories. [Peter (1994)]
