o'clock VF Head of Artenis right; bow and quiver over left shoulder.. Club downward; ΚΟΜΑ / ΝΩΝ on either side; monogramm in lower left field; all within wreath boun above. A very similar reverse has been often used on coins of the Roman period in the times from Tiberius to Nerva with the emperor on the obverse [Amandry, Remy (1999)]. Neither side has been used for coins of Mithradates VI of Pontos. The coin was probably struck after the fall of the Pontic kingdom and before the introduction of Roman imperial coinage.
