o'clock VF Macedonian shield decorated with seven semi-circles; in the center, medaillon with diademed bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver at shoulder. ΚΟΣΩΝ // ΔΡΟΥΕΙΣ above and below club right; all within wreath. Because of the obverse similarity to macedonian tetradrachms struck after 166 BC, the coin is dated in the 2nd half of the 2nd c. BC and attributed to a Thraco-Scythian dynast (Baldwin / Markov / M&M Basel, New York Sale IX/66, 13.1.2005).
