Castellorizo
was occupied by the French navy on December 24th 1915 and remained
under French rule until August 21st 1921 when it was hand over to
italian authaurity. 1942 British forces occupied the isalnd until 1946
when it bacame Greek. Overprinted French stamps were issued for the island during the period of French ocuupation. From August 1921 Italian stamps were in use until 1932. These were superseded until 1942 with italian stamps overprinted EGEO. From 1942 until 1946 British stamps overprinted M.E.F wer in use. 1946 the island became Greek.
