with pellet in each arme pallium and colobium, and raising right hand in benediction;
in left book of gospels; IC / XC with overbar on either side; border of dots.
The Virgin nimbate on right and Manuel bearded on left, both standing facing;
the Virgin wears pallium and maphorium, the Emperor wears divitision and loros;
they hold between them patriarchal cross; Manuel holds akakia in right hand;
M / Θ[V] above and to right; double border of dots.
